Learning Log Ch.6

What- This week I learned about memory and how our brain works when we try to remeber something. I learned that the input goes into the sensory register then if we are paying attention it goes into short term memory then we encode the information and then the information is put into our long term memory.

So What-This information is important because it allows use to relize that we need to engage our students and get their attention so that the information goes into their long term memory. If we do not get their attention it will be lost long before they store it in their memory.

Now What- Now that I have this information I am going to try and get the students attention before I give a lesson. This is so important so that they remember what I am trying to teach them. I am also going to use this information so that I can have better study habbits. I am going to do this by having organizing the information I am given, elaborating on an idea, and summerizing the information that I read.
